Jobs for NSW is supporting and expanding the start-up ecosystem across NSW through grants for high-potential new businesses and partnerships with incubators and accelerators.
Grants for promising start-ups
Two types of grants are available.
Minimum Viable Product Grants are for promising start-ups that are not yet generating revenue. Grants of up to $25,000 are available to help start-ups gather feedback from customers and test business models.
Building Partnership Grants are for start-ups that are already generating revenue. Grants of up to $100,000 are available to fund partnerships or projects that will accelerate market adoption.
$3 million worth of funding grants is available in 2016-2017 – double the amount offered under the former Innovate NSW program.
Support for accelerators and incubators
We realise that start-ups need more than money – success depends on good business modelling and a sound and tested product to meet a market gap. Getting the right guidance is critical.
This is why Jobs for NSW is developing partnerships with accelerators and incubators – the places where start-ups get business support, mentorship and guidance.
If you own or work for an accelerator or incubator, find out how you can partner with Jobs for NSW to support start-ups across NSW.
