The number of women running businesses in Australia is growing, with “mumpreneurs” harnessing new technologies and social media to launch products and services, Small Business Minister Bruce Billson says.
He cited a Bank West business trends report that showed the number of women running a business had grown 4.8 per cent in the last decade, while the number of men had fallen 8.7 per cent in the same time
On the growing number of women starting small businesses, Mr Strong said it was very easy to start a small business in Australia and that’s very much a good thing.
You are getting a lot of women starting small businesses from home, these are real business people. And if you are going to get the economy going, anyone who wants to be an entrepreneur should be able to do that.
